Therapy Approaches & Programs
Our occupational therapy sessions are primarily child-led and play-based, allowing children to engage in meaningful activities that naturally support development. Therapy incorporates evidence-based approaches such as the DIR/Floortime model, which promotes emotional regulation, social engagement, and developmental capacities through relationship-based play.
Sessions also include sensory integration–informed strategies to support children who experience sensory processing challenges, helping them improve regulation, attention, and participation in everyday tasks.
Movement-based activities inspired by Brain Gym® may be incorporated to support coordination, body awareness, and readiness for learning. Reflex integration through play may be used for children who present with retained primitive reflexes that can impact posture, coordination, and attention.
Structured play-based programs such as LEGO®-based activities may be incorporated to support collaboration, problem-solving, and social interaction. Therapy also focuses on strengthening fine motor skills, motor planning, and functional independence, helping children improve participation in classroom tasks, play activities, and daily self-care routines.
At Elevate Kids, we are committed to supporting every child in reaching their fullest potential by promoting independence, participation, and meaningful engagement in daily life.
